Electrificat is an initiative born in 2010 by 3 technological entrepreneurs passionated on energy efficiency. Since then, they went deep on the electrical consumption and generation.
From the preliminary studies, facts as the renewables’ cost reduction, wide spreading of large wind powerplants, deployment of small PV, solar-thermal panels, biomass and the requirement for unconventional complementary power sources make the concept evolve to a real product.
After 2 years of evolution, the Open University (UOC) awarded the project with the UOC&plugged prize. Then, the first prototype is built with support from 13 local companies and 2 universities, involving more than 25 professionals with extensive experience in mechanics, electricity, electric machines, mechanical constructions, industrial processes and industrial design.
